My Generation turns 700

Staff Writer

MCM Media's My Generation, which airs around the country on 96 stations, including ARN's Classic Hits network, will this weekend celebrate it's 700th episode.

The show is based on the music of the 60's through to the 80's and is hosted by Amanda Keller and Brendan 'Jonesy' Jones from WSFM.

'Jonesy' commented on the milestone; “700 and we don’t look a day over 536!’, whilst Amanda said “Any show that celebrates shoulder pads and leg warmers, all through music, is a winner in my book!”

The 700th show will focus on 1985, the year Madonna went Crazy For You, Michael J Fox went  Back to the Future and Wrestlemania went centre stage; along with a special tribute to the past 699 episodes.

To celebrate the 700th episode, tomorrow morning we speak with 'Jonesy' about My Generation, WSFM and he tells us what makes him want to 'paint his anus'. That's a direct quote.
