Molloy & Pang’s ‘Front Bar’ capitalises on ‘Footy Show’ axing

The biggest beneficiaries of Nine’s decision to axe the AFL Footy Show are the hosts of rival show The Front Bar.

The show is hosted by Nova 100’s Sam Pang, Triple M’s Mick Molloy and journalist Andy Maher.

The show recorded its highest metro ratings since launching in 2015, securing 464,000 viewers overnight according to OzTam in five capital cities.

When regional ratings were included, the figure rose to 612,000.

Nine axed the long-running show recently, which relaunched in February featuring former GOLD FM host Lehmo, Fox FM’s Brendan Fevola and Hit FM’s Dylan Alcott.
