Mix94.5’s One Million Dollar Code wraps up with a spooky twist

Pete & Kymba have been offering someone in Perth the chance to win one million dollars cash in Mix94.5’s One Million Dollar Code.

Since mid-June, Mix94.5 listeners have been calling through with daily code words to go onto a standby list, in the hope of being the lucky person chosen to play for the one million dollar prize.

Supported by Endeavour Homes, the competition had over 400 entries.

Host Kymba Cahill said “You don’t know what people are going through and this is such a beautiful opportunity to possibly change someone’s life.”

Pete Curulli added “There are so many people on the standby list, and we don’t know if we are going to be calling the first person we put on the list, the last person or someone in between!”

Lisa from Kingsley was then randomly selected and invited into the Mix94.5 studio this morning to pick a code from the wall.

In a candid revelation, Lisa said “I have to tell you guys, I have a vision board! I wrote ‘Lisa wins $1,000,000!’ on it! I’ve got it with me now, it’s been on my desk all day!”

Lisa brought the vision board into the studio as she nervously chose the code TRUFFLE, after one of the show’s psychics, Claudine from Rivervale, said she was channelling ‘spices and fragrances.’

TRUFFLE unfortunately wasn’t the million dollar code, but still won Lisa a very welcome $10,000!

Alas, the One Million Dollar Code was the word POSH – which then created a flurry of activity in the studio when staff realised the connection to Victoria Beckham, also known as POSH Spice and who has a fragrance line.

Lisa, who plans to use the money to buy a new caravan, says “I am so happy and I feel like I can finally breathe again! That was very nerve-wracking.”
