Mix Melbourne do their bit for the kids

Staff Writer

Massive Melbourne event 'Run For the Kids' raised $1.9million for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal on the weekend.

Mix 101.1 were involved as the exclusive radio partner and came up with some fun ways to get involved on the day.

Connecting with their "Music That Moves You" positioner, they installed a branded sound tunnel that played Mix music and recorded announcements of encouragement from breakfast duo Chrissie and Jane.

There was also a Mix branded 'Cool Down Zone' at the end of the race that had face painting for the kids and massages for the competitors.

Mix 101.1 Content Director Brendon Dangar says: "There is great partnership between Mix 101.1 brand and Run For The Kids and we are again thrilled to do our bit to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal."
