Mike E and Emma join 2DayFM’s 2024 daytime line up
Mike Etheridge and Emma Chow – also known as Mike E & Emma – have joined Sydney’s 2DayFM, where they’re now hosting Mornings from 9am – 11am.
Etheridge and Chow are no strangers to Sydney radio. Best buddies, the pair started their journey together in 2010 hosting Breakfast on The Edge 96.1.
They say they’re excited to be part of the team at 2DayFM.
“We grew up listening to 2DayFM and it was always our dream to be on air here. We can’t wait to have more hilarious conversations with our loyal listeners on 2DayFM. Bring on 2024!”
104.1 2DayFM Content Director Ryan Tothill says “We’re excited to have Mike E & Emma join our daytime line-up in 2024. They are a fantastic show that will bring a lot of energy and passion to the workday. They are a hard-working show that I know will deliver fun and engaging content to the 2DayFM audience.”
Why can’t they play the highlights of this across the Hit Network at 6pm instead of *more* Jimmy & Nath which leads into their live show at 7pm? More wasted opportunities from SCA.
It boggles the mind that they’d onboard a decades old has-been show – hosted by people who fit the WSFM demographic? The Summer stuff with Nic Kelly has been a breath of fresh air, all about the music, educating the listener. Seany B also doing a cracker job of promoting the music rather than themselves. When you have young, vibrant, capable people waiting for their chance – SCA do this. It seems clear why listeners, advertisers and staff have/are walking away
Good idea to have a new breakfast show in the wings ready to take over from Dave Hughes in 2025.
@Simon – The Jimmy & Nath Happy Hour only plays on the regionals. Metro markets get local breakfast show replays.
