Metro Radio revenue climbs in September

The commercial radio industry has recorded growth in metropolitan advertising revenue of 12.4% for September, to a total of $70.8 million, according to figures sourced by Deloitte and released today by CRA.

The September figures for the individual markets showed that Adelaide led the growth, reporting a large increase of 26.0% to $6.6 million, Perth was up 18.0% to $9.7 million, Sydney was also up 12.8% to $21.9 million, Melbourne rose by 8.9% to $21.8 million and Brisbane was also up 7.2% to $10.8 million.

The year-to-date figures show growth across all markets with a rise of 8.8% to $195.5 million.

Adelaide was up 16.6% to $18.5 million; Sydney increased 9.8% to $60.4 million, Perth up 8.3% to $26.1 million, Melbourne rose 7.9% to $60.2 million; and Brisbane up 5.0% to $30.2 million.

The Deloitte figures report actual revenue received by metropolitan commercial radio stations and include all metropolitan agency and direct revenue.
