MCM announce VEVO JV
Following on from the news that MCM Entertainment had entered into a long-term arrangement with Microsoft for their Movideo business, the company has announced a new partnership with VEVO.
VEVO is a music video and entertainment platform that presently operates in the United States, Canada and launched in the United Kingdom a year ago.
It is a joint venture between Sony Music and Universal Music utilising each companies catalogue along with content from EMI. The three majors distribute their music videos through VEVO which places them through sites like Youtube and sells advertising onto them. Warner is the only major not involved with VEVO.
Simon Joyce (left), MCM Entertainment CEO, said "The addition of VEVO to our existing websites, Take40.com and TheHotHits.com will ensure MCM Media is delivering Australian music fans unparalleled access to artists, while giving advertisers greater opportunity to engage with music lovers"
MCM Entertainment shares remained unchanged at .08c on the ASX.
