Rachel Corbett will be replaced by Bridget Northeast

Mamamia’s head of podcasts Rachel Corbett has resigned from her role after three years.

She’ll be replaced by former ABC, Triple M and Fox FM producer Bridget Northeast.

Corbett has played a significant role in furthering Mamamia’s growing audio network, and also represented the company at countless panels and conferences in recent years.

Mamamia said that Corbett helped “lift our trailblazing audio network to even greater heights,” reports Mumbrella.

Corbett will continue to host Mamamia’s dating podcast Eligible and be a regular guest host on Mamamia Out Loud.

She’ll be replaced by Northeast, who joined the media company as assistant head of podcasts in 2019.

Northeast’s previous work has seen her work in production across several radio shows including Triple M’s The Hot Breakfast, the Fifi, Fev & Byron Breakfast show on Fox FM and on ABC 744.

She’s also worked as a producer on Hamish & Andy’s Perfect Holiday.

“In the time I’ve been there I’ve had the privilege of growing the network from 15 shows to over 35 shows, the team from two to nine producers, and the audience to over a million unique listeners a month and over 90m downloads, which is more than quadruple where it was when I started,” said Corbett on Instagram.

“On top of that, I’ve been lucky enough to look after so many amazingly talented young producers who’ve let me be their pod mum… and who’ve given me some of the most fulfilling, joyous moments of my professional career.”
