Mamamia launches first ‘micro’ podcast: 8 Minutes To Change Your (Work) Life

Former Editor & Content Director

Mamamia is once again expanding its podcast offering and formats, this time launching a short-form podcast in partnership with Optus Business.

8 Minutes To Change Your (Work) Life is Mamamia’s 44th podcast to launch, and its first “micro” podcast.

This month, the women’s publisher also expanded into comedy podcasts with Cancelled, and earlier this year it launched a paid membership tier which included exclusive audio offerings including additional episodes of Mamamia Out Loud and a long-form narrative podcast, Extraordinary Stories.

Its latest branded podcast will be hosted by productivity expert Deborah Ho and will run for 24 episodes.

It will explore the habits and hacks of super successful people including the three-minute email rule, microbreaks, tools to stay organised and technology that helps you focus.

Mamamia’s head of content, Holly Wainwright, said people’s work lives have never looked like this before.

“Wherever you are, how we spend our time and focus our energy at work has never been more important. Optus Business wants to make small business people’s lives as easy as possible. Our host Deborah knows a lot about productivity, and wanted to learn more. Together, we made a show that will make your life better whether you own a business, are dreaming of a side hustle, or just want to make your average work day work harder for you. And it never wastes a second,” she said.

Commercial Radio Australia’s (CRA) head of digital, Jaime Chaux, recently told Radio Today short-form podcasts are about to explode.
