Malcolm Fraser’s final radio interview

Malcolm Fraser was Australia’s 22nd Prime Minister who passed away today at the age of 84.  He will be remembered for his leadership of the Liberal Party and his role in Gough Whitlam’s dismissal. 2UE’s Justin Smith spoke to Malcolm around the time of the recent Liberal leadership crisis.

It was Malcolm Fraser’s last interview with 2UE and he talked about the current PM Tony Abbott and even the creation of a new mainstream political party, saying that the way the Liberal, Labor and Parliament were behaving “opens the door to something new”.
