Mal Meninga dishes up the NRL lowdown on The Throwdown

Rugby League great Mal Meninga is joining Sports Entertainment Network for a new program with Jimmy Smith on Thursdays called The Throwdown with Mal Meninga.

Mal and Jimmy will provide in-depth breakdowns and discussions throughout the Rugby League season on the hour-long program. 

“Teaming up with Jimmy Smith for a longer-form program each Thursday will be fantastic,” said Mal.

“Being a longer form show will allow us to dig deeper into the week’s talking points and invite the audience to share in discussion with us.”

On Wednesdays, Meninga will also feature on Mornings with Ben Davis after the pair worked well together discussing the NRL Finals and World Cup last year.

“I had such a great time on SENQ 693am last year talking footy with Ben Davis,” Meninga said.

“We’ve developed some good chemistry, so I’m looking forward to chatting with him again each Wednesday morning about all things NRL.”

The shows will tackle the big issues in the game, diving deeper into the week’s hot topics and encouraging listeners to join the conversation. 

“I’m incredibly grateful to the NRL and Fox League for supporting me to take up this opportunity with SEN. I’m excited to be back on the air,” Mal said.
