Magic 2CH: Cuts CD Mardi Cole

Staff Writer

Macquarie Media has made the Content Director’s position redundant at now Magic 2CH.

It brings to a close Mardi Cole’s 8 year run with the Sydney station.  Mardi started as a casual, moving into the Content Directors position in 2014.

Macquarie Media aligned 2CH to its Magic branding just a few weeks ago, which also saw networked content and talent from both Brisbane and Melbourne join the 2CH line-up.

I am so pleased 2CH got rid of ‘Magic’. It was so annoying to listen to.

It is also wonderful to have Mardi back on air. We missed her so much. She is our darling.

The best thing 2CH has done recently is to lose the Magic tag and revert to the old 2CH tag. But best of all to have Mardi Cole back as a presenter. I missed her so much, I was listening to the traffic reports just to hear her cheerful voice! (I travel by train!). Mardi has a smile in her voice and is so easy to listen to. I was devastated when the station dumped her, and so glad to have her back, doing what is so warm and natural to her as a 2CH Presenter. Don’t let go of her again, please

Good afternoon,
I am compelled to ask why Mardi Cole is not a presenter during the week? Mardi has the most marvellous medlodious voice that was made for radio!
I simply love her presentations on the weekends. she plays my style of music .
Sometimes I feel I’d rather listen to her comments then the music; her voice is wonderfully controlled as opposed to some who feel the need to yell at we listeners….she’s lovely.

Please pass on my, ‘Thank You Mardi’
