Lindy Burns departs ABC Melbourne

ABC Radio Melbourne host Lindy Burns has announced that she won’t return to the station or her role on Evenings in 2019.

Lindy made the announcement on air, saying she intends to spend more time with family instead of returning to her job next year, following the shock loss of her mother and brother’s cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

With her 83-year-old father currently taking care of her brother during his treatment, she and her husband have decided to return home to Newcastle.

Lindy has spent the last seven years on Evenings, and prior to that was the host of ABC Melbourne Drive.
