Light Switches On and Celebrates

Staff Writer

This week Melbourne’s Light FM celebrated not only their 13th Birthday but they also switched on their brand new Transmitter, something they have been working towards for two years.

CEO Jarrod Graetz flicked the switch to their new Nautel  5kw transmitter yesterday, which also included a new Optimod 8600 in the air chain.

Being a community station, Light FM with the support of their listeners raised enough money over the last two years to purchase the new equipment.

Their digital stations which are unique formats, being Light Digital celebrated its 4th birthday with  Light Christmas having it 3rd birthday this week, both are online and DAB+.
