Legend in the house at RSN 927
There was nostalgia aplenty in the studios of Melbourne’s RSN 927 yesterday, when footy legend Kevin Bartlett returned to the station where he hosted the breakfast shift more than 20 years ago.
‘KB’ was already dabbling in radio during his playing days. In the early 80s, he appeared on programs like Sportstalk with Craig Willis (pictured below), when RSN was known as 3UZ.
Bartlett had already started on-air when he played his 400th game for Richmond.

Following his illustrious footy career, KB’s focus turned to radio full-time, presenting the breakfast program on RSN (then known as Sport 927) until 2003.
He went on to host the Hungry for Sport program and commentated AFL games for SEN.
Yesterday, as KB joined RSN Breakfast host Daniel Harford for an in-studio chat, the station’s former CEO Bernard Saundry posted to social media “Terrific to have the legend Kevin Bartlett in the RSN studios today, reliving his amazing experiences.”
