Lachlan Murdoch sacks TEN CEO

If you thought radio could be savage, it could be worse, you could be in television.

Lachlan Murdoch has tonight sacked TEN Chief Executive James Warburton after only a year in the role.

TEN has been plagued, both prior to Warburton, and during his time, by dreadful ratings; although many of the shows that have failed were commissioned prior to Warburtons commencement.

TEN is presently at its lowest ebb and well behind its commercial competitors. Warburton is the latest, and the highest profile, in a string of executive sackings at the troubled network.

Lachlan Murdoch said tonight; "The board would like to thank James Warburton for his hard work and contribution during what has been a difficult period for the company and for the broader media sector, he steps down with TEN's best wishes".
