Kyle Chalmers makes a splash at Magic 89.9

Jac Cowan – Breakfast announcer at Port Lincoln’s Magic 89.9 – has enjoyed a truly memorable experience with none other than Aussie swimming great Kyle Chalmers.

The Olympic gold medallist – who hails from Port Lincoln – recently joined Jac for a studio chat, along with fellow swimmer Matt Temple.

To mark the occasion, Kyle and Jac both ended up getting matching tuna tattoos!

It’s been a busy time at the regional SA station, which has been putting in a lot of effort to shine a spotlight on the beloved Eyre Peninsula town of Wudinna.

“We’re striving to secure a spot among the top three Agricultural Towns of the Year, which is a big deal in this neck of the woods,” Jac tells Radio Today.

“Our friendly competition with Berri and Murray Bridge across the gulf has been both fun and motivating.”

“The goal is to showcase our town’s charm and spirit on this platform. So we all came up with raps and have been battling it out across the stations.”

“It’s been awesome!”
