Kita Alexander performs live in Nova’s Red Room

Nova’s Red Room took over Chapel off Chapel in Prahran last night with rising Australian star Kita Alexander.

Hosted by Nova 100 breakfast team Jase Hawkins, Lauren Phillips and Clint Stanaway – and with the iconic stained glass windows and neon Nova’s Red Room sign in full view – Kita started the set with tracks ‘Queen’ and ‘All Night’, before telling the 350 fans who scored exclusive invites how much she loved being in Melbourne.

The Byron Bay native proceeded to dedicate her hit song ‘Bigger Person’ to all those in the crowd who’d been through a toxic relationship, before performing her country tune ‘Date Night’.

Husband Owen Wright scored a shoutout as the singer-song writer confirmed she was drinking tea on stage, saying the surf Olympian called her a ‘nanna’ for her hot drink and early bedtime habits.

Major Nova commercial clients were also in attendance, along with NOVA’s Group Programming Director Brendan Taylor and Head of Music Scott Baker-Smith.
