KIISFM host Dave Hughes dropped from Seven

Staff Writer

Channel Seven’s new comedy show Behave Yourself! will not feature Dave “Hughesy” Hughes after the radio personality was dropped from the program’s panel.

The KIIS drive host claims he was shunned as a result of a joke he made about Seven’s CEO Tim Worner while hosting last month’s Logie Awards.

It is understood that Hughes only found out “last minute” that he was axed from the show’s panel, which features Australian celebrities and comedians competing against each other in a variety of physical games.

Hughes has managed to retain his Logie hosting duties for the last two years despite making equally offensive jokes at the expense of Channel Nine CEO David Gyngell, the very network that broadcasts the event.

Seven has since denied Hughes’ claims, citing a scheduling error between the production company and the comedian’s management as the cause of cancellation.
