KIIS announces new weekend Breakfast show with Chris Page & Amy Gerard

Reporter

Chris ‘Pagey’ Page and Amy Gerard will hit the KIIS Network airwaves from this Saturday (May 11) with their brand new weekend Breakfast show – Chris Page and Amy Gerard in the Morning.

Chris and Amy know a thing or two about chaos. Between them, their lives include five kids under eight, two supportive spouses, and a million parenting tales and fails.

Broadcasting live each Saturday and Sunday from 8-10am on KIIS 1065 Sydney, KIIS 101.1 Melbourne and KIIS 97.3 Brisbane, Chris and Amy will share their humorous stories about parenting, relationships, friendships and more, in their unique no-bullshit style.

Amy Gerard is a content creator, author, podcast presenter, columnist and brand ambassador who has amassed an army of fans.

On joining the KIIS Network, Amy says “I cannot wait to get this weekend breakfast show up and running on KIIS. Being on radio has been a dream of mine for years and no one loves talking more than I do so I know things are going to be great. Chris Page is a pro and I have great hair but the chemistry we have is palpable and our show will be equal parts fun, energetic and unpredictable.”

Chris Page has spent two decades hosting shows on some of Australia’s biggest radio stations.  His career started in Gunnedah before he moved to a mid-dawn shift back in Sydney, then the Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Adelaide and finally back to his hometown of Sydney where Chris hosted mornings on 2DayFM, the Hot 30 Countdown, and then Breakfast on Triple M.

He says “I am so damn excited to be joining the best radio network in Australia and working with such an exciting, energetic team. I’m really looking forward to getting to know my co-host Amy better, as KIIS’ listeners get to know us both at the same time, with plenty of laughs along the way.”

Head of KIIS Network Derek ‘DB’ Bargwanna says “We’re thrilled to introduce Chris Page and Amy Gerard in the Morning as our latest addition to the lineup! Our listeners are always buzzing with energy, especially on weekends, and we can’t wait to bring them a lively, live-to-air show. It’s a win-win for both our audience and our clients.”

Chris Page and Amy Gerard in the Morning can be heard on KIIS 1065 Sydney, KIIS 101.1 Melbourne and KIIS 97.3 Brisbane or via the free iHeart app.

… Meanwhile, over at Hit Network still nothing. I would’ve thought Lucy and Nikki would be perfect for Weekend Breakfast but they’re on Saturday nights instead.

Let me get this right. ARN just sacked around 8 quality announcers around the country due to networking. Then instead of giving one of them a shot at a national weekend show, they hire 2 BRAND NEW PEOPLE who don’t or haven’t worked for ARN.

I was wondering what had happened to Chris Page since he departed Triple M Sydney ? Now that I know he is back on-air, it gives me a reason to tune into KIIS FM on a Saturday morning! Good luck to both Pages and Amy with this new show.
