Kate Ritchie rumoured to be returning to Nova on another show

Rumours are circulating that Kate Ritchie will be making her return to radio in the very near future, but not to the Kate, Tim and Joel show.

The Australian reported an insider has suggested Kate will leave her role in the 4-6pm Kate, Tim and Joel show on Nova to join Fitzy and Wippa’s breakfast show upon her return.

Kate has been on a break since late last year, taking time off due to “increased stress” which had “taken its toll.”

Upon departure, she said, “It’s time to recharge the batteries and come back fresh next year. And although it’s only for a short time, I will miss you all. I’ll see you in the New Year.”

More recently, Kate shared a post on Instagram at the end of January which said she would “be away for a few more weeks.”

Australian Idol co-host Ricki-Lee Coulter has been filling in for Kate since she stepped back and has fit the role with Tim and Joel nicely. 

If proven true, Kate’s long absence could be explained in part by her intentions to join Fitzy and Wippa.
