Kate Ritchie & Ben Fordham among the speakers for 2018 Radio Alive conference
Panel speakers for the 2018 Radio Alive conference have been announced, with several high-rating radio stars to share their insights on the secrets to success in the Drive shift on commercial radio.
SCA‘s Kate Langbroek (Hughesy & Kate) and NOVA Entertainment‘s Kate Ritchie (Kate, Tim & Marty) will join 2GB‘s Ben Fordham and ARN‘s Will McMahon (Will & Woody) at the radio industry’s national conference.
The keynote address will be delivered by Kate Burleigh, Amazon Alexa Skill’s Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand. She’ll speak about the future of voice tech and implications for consumers and brands.
Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner says the future of the industry will be a key talking point, amidst a resurgence of interest in audio, positive signs of growth in ad revenue and significant investment in areas such as digital, streaming and podcasting.
“Radio is pushing the envelope in a host of areas, particularly in the way it’s creating original content for a range of platforms and devices.
“We’ll be looking at the impact of voice technology on radio and the latest developments in podcasting and audio branding.
“We’re also looking forward to hearing from some of our most successful radio personalities on their approach to creating content, how they deal with the demands of the key drive-time shift, and how they interact with both fans and critics.”
The Radio Alive conference will take place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on October 19, the day before the 2018 ACRAs on October 20.
Tickets for both events are available now.
