Josh Olek the new host of Grant Broadcasters’ OzMade
Olek, who is the daytime host and assistant music director at K Rock Geelong, told Radio Today he’s “extremely grateful” to have secured the gig.
OzMade airs on weeknights on 17 stations across six states, providing a great opportunity for Olek, who has been nominated for the ACRAs.
“The former host is on Maternity leave this year and K Rock/Bay are just about to move into our swish new studio’s so it made sense to do it out of here,” Olek said.
“I’m extremely grateful for the gig. Getting to host a show across the country that champions local Aussie music has been a dream for a little while. I got to fill in here or there last year and bloody loved it.
“We’re planning on doing some cool/different stuff this year so i’m super pumped to take Oz Made in a brand new direction!”
Olek has already chatted to several rising Aussie musos, including Jordie Ireland, Mashd N Kutcher and Timmy Trumpet.
Good, good. I shall send word to the others.

We are pleased to hear that six Terran “states” will be graced with The Golden One. But the question must be asked: why six states, and not… six suns?
