Jeff Burzacott departs ARN

Reporter

Jeff Burzacott has finished up as Music Director for Adelaide’s Cruise 1323 and Perth’s 96fm, with ARN confirming he resigned last month.

As well as being MD at Cruise, Burzacott was, up until recently, the station’s Lead Programmer and Operations Manager, a role he held for fifteen years.

A radio industry veteran, Burzacott’s previous roles included Content Director for Triple M Adelaide and SA FM, and Music Director at Melbourne’s 1019 The Fox.

Burzacott said “Choosing to leave a 40-year career hasn’t been a decision I made lightly, but we each have only one wild and precious life. My time in radio has been a hell of a story. This is just the next chapter.”

During his tenure at ARN, Burzacott delivered results that stand as benchmarks in Adelaide radio.

Burzacott is widely recognized as a master of music strategy who understood the emotional connection between music and listeners.

FIVEAA General Manager Paul Bartlett said “Jeff has enjoyed a long career in radio and brings a number of key skills, great enthusiasm and a passion for current affairs radio to this vital shift. It’s great to have Jeff join Adelaide’s number one radio team.”

Derek Bargwanna – KIIS Head of Network – said “Jeff has been a cornerstone of Mix Adelaide, and I’d like to personally thank him for his dedication and strive for excellence.”

Burzacott is the editor, author and graphic designer of Nile Magazine, one of the world’s biggest Egyptology print magazines.
