“Jamie will be sorely missed”: Cathy O’Connor on sudden passing of senior Perth exec
NOVA Entertainment CEO Cathy O’Connor has released a statement following the unexpected passing of Jamie Martinovich.
“We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden passing of Jamie Martinovich, NOVA Entertainment’s Perth Commercial Director and Market Lead, yesterday,” said O’Connor.
“Over the past 14 years, Jamie has been a highly respected member of NOVA Entertainment.
“Jamie joined the business in October 2005 as Perth Commercial Director and in April 2018 took on the additional responsibility of Market Lead.
“During this time, Jamie made a significant contribution to the culture and success of the business.
“Jamie will be sorely missed, and our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his partner Christine, children Elli, Nixon and Ben, friends and colleagues.”
Radio Today understand Martinovich was recently admitted to hospital with flu-like symptoms.

A Titan here in Perth, but more importantly an excellent human. You are sorely missed Jamie.
A nicer man you’ll never meet. Loved and respected by all, the hole Jamie leaves runs deep. The flu like symptoms turned quickly into double pneumonia. He was encouraged to go into a coma and told it would only take about 3 days…advice he readily believed. They never found the bacteria that caused his lungs to fill up, which is remarkable in this modern age. It happened so quickly, most didn’t even know he was in hospital, hence the shock. He is already sorely missed by his devoted staff, family and business network.
