“It’s going to get very messy.” Triple M’s Beau, Cat & Woodsy react to Kyle Sandilands’ sacking

This morning on Triple M Sydney Breakfast with Beau, Cat & Woodsy, Beau Ryan reacted to the shock termination of Kyle Sandilands’ ARN contract.

Sandilands this morning released a statement, declaring “I don’t accept it” and vowing to fight the decision.

Ryan – a former contributor on KIIS Breakfast and close friend of Kyle and Jackie O – said on-air that his immediate concern was with the broader team behind the show.

Beau: “We’ve all got friends that work over there at KIIS, and there are a lot of really good people out of a job right now …  if Kyle is terminated and the Kyle & Jackie O Show is over, they’re all without a job. They don’t have hundreds and hundreds of thousands [of dollars] to fight their dismissal.”

Cat: “And that’s the key part! You’ve got a lot of people in limbo that haven’t been earning that multi-million-dollar contract.”

Woodsy: “So, he [Kyle] could get a job somewhere else and still get his money back off ARN?”

Beau: “If he’s been terminated, his terms are done… he could be back on tomorrow if he wanted, but at the moment he’s trying to chase what he’s owed.”

Cat: “This is going to be a bit of a drawn-out process… and it’s going to get very messy.”

Woodsy: “This is going to go forever!”

Beau: “The thing with this is that we’re the longest-serving Breakfast show (laughs), and we still are. They’ve signed the deals and at the end of the day, this is business. We’ve just got to keep doing our thing being the longest-running Breakfast show…”

Woodsy: “… Get our popcorn and start eating …”
