Internal programming changes at SCA

Staff Writer

Head of Radio for Southern Cross Austereo, Craig Bruce, has announced some role changes for their programming team today.

Dave Cameron – as well as remaining Content Director of Fox FM, Dave will now also head up the Today Network national strategy, including their regional stations.

Dave says…

“The future for capital city radio is undoubtedly in regional markets at this very moment. It’s a really exciting talent pipeline and I’m determined to keep it flowing, using our extensive resources to work with some of the newest stars coming through both on and off the air.”

Derek Bargwanna – the current 2Day FM CD will now also become the Today Network Operations Manager where he’ll work closely with Dave to implement the Today national strategy.

Fitzy (Mike Fitzpatrick) will take on a Triple M Network Operations role, working on their national strategy with Jamie Angel, and will also head up the Localworks network regionally.

Fitzy says… “I’m pumped to be able to see and hear the Local Works network from a national perspective. I’ve been working with the Victorian & Tasmanian guys over the past 12 months and if the talent there is anything to go by, SCA is in great shape! The regional and provincial stations have produced generations of great radio talent, many of them are working in or running our metro stations today. I can’t wait to see who’s next.”

Jamie Angel and Sam Cavanagh continue in their roles as Triple M network head and National executive show producer.
