Inaugural Radioinfo Asia Podcast Awards wrap up in KL

Major Prize Winners Awarded at Radiodays Asia.

Here are the People’s Choice winners of The Radioinfo Podcast Asia Awards as elected by the popular vote of our radioinfo readers.

They are for:

Land Before Bedtime – Best Children’s Podcast

Viva la Vida – Best Health and Wellness Podcast

These winning podcasts were announced on stage, at Royal Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during Podcast Day Asia which is part of Radiodays Asia.

Because public voting had been completed just the day before, the organisers had no time to arrange travel and accomodation for the recipients. It was much to everyone’s. surprise when someone from Singapore’s SPH which which publishes Land Before Bedtime (at the lectern in the main photo) happened to be in the room.

Are the two People Choice Awards  the same as the Awards chosen by our distinguished panel of judges?

No, they are not!

Here are the Judges Choices

As part of the big reveal on  stage, were representatives of the top two winners of the Radioinfo Asia Podcast Awards  as chosen by our judges: Shoko Plambeck, and Jake Adelstein (left) who narrate “The Evaporated – Gone With the Gods ” from Campside Media, Japan.

Incidentally, the judges awarded a tie for the category Best Podcast Host/ Presenter between Shoko and Jake.

Also present were  Tan Li Yi and Chang Cheng Yao producer/ presenters of “The Reading Room” spoken in Mandarin. Here, they are receiving their award from Radioinfo Group founder, Steve Ahern.
