iHeartRadio expands into home smart speaker systems across Australia

Staff Writer

iHeartRadio Australia are making the next leap into being available in all homes around Australia with the announcement that the platform is now fully integrated with 27 HEOS by Denon and other Marantz products that incorporate the HEOS wireless streaming technology.

The move follows IHeartRadio Australia’s recent expansion into Sonos, Google Home and Amazon Echo home smart speakers in 2017 which saw a 296% increase in listening hours on Google Home speakers since December last year.

“We have been integrated with Sonos speakers since late last year and now iHeartRadio is accessible across the whole range of HEOS by Denon speakers as well as other great Hi-Fi products across the Denon and Marantz brands that include the HEOS wireless streaming technology,” COO of iHeartRadio Australia, Geraint Davis said.

“We are continually working to make it as easy as possible for iHeartRadio listeners in Australia to seamlessly access their favourite radio stations, music or podcasts on iHeartRadio.”

A total of 210,000 listening hours have been logged through Google Home Smart Speakers in last month alone.
