‘I hope they drown’

FiveAA night presenter Bob Francis is no stranger to controversy. He is famous for very bluntly speaking his mind, and at times abusing those who call in to his show.

Francis might have outdone himself on Monday night however when he told his listeners that asylum-seekers should drown before they arrive in Australia. Francis said: 

"Bugger the boatpeople, as far as I'm concerned I hope they bloody drown out there on their way over here, in my opinion they are not welcome here".

Francis show has been number one for 69 consecutive surveys and is presently around 5% clear of the second ranked evening show in Adelaide.
