Howard Sattler’s New Battle

Since parting ways with 6PR Perth, Howard Sattler made his return in January with The Sattler Files online. Last week he came Off Air, Monday he started a new battle with treatment for cancer of the larynx.

“You could have knocked me down with a feather when I was told the diagnosis, from my Ear Nose and Throat specialist.

“The cancer is in my larynx…my voice box… and was discovered after I had a “pre-cancerous” node removed followed by more surgery”

The cancer was discovered following further deterioration in Howard’s speech, saying he put it down to the continuing degeneration associated with Parkinson’s, which was first diagnosed three years ago.

“It’s just another speed bump in the highway of my life and I am confident I can overcome it and be back on air shortly”, Howard told Radio Today.

Howard shared that The Sattler Files Internet/podcasting site was progressing steadily with Despene  a journalist and Howard’s wife at the helm as producer/presenter.

She is backed up by Murray Korff (ex PMFM GM) and Tom Tapping and recently appointed Colin Ahearn.
