Hit’s Jimmy and Nath take their weekday show national

Hobart’s Jimmy and Nath are swapping their weekday breakfasts for late nights as they take over the 9-11 pm weekdays nightspot on the Hit Network.

Appearing on air right after Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield, the pair will begin their first shift on June 20.

Following the success of their #1 Hit100.9 Hobart Breakfast show, earlier this year the pair took their winning formula to the national Weekend Breakfast timeslot and will now take their national influence to the next level with weekdays.

“We are pumped to take our gnarly Jimmy and Nath radio surfboard to the national airWAVES and hang 10 with the country, cowabunga! We don’t surf so we hope this metaphor makes sense, if not we sincerely apologise to all surfers who read this, please still listen,” said Jimmy and Nath.

The Jimmy & Nath Show’s Executive Producer, Grace Garde remains integral to the show, and will continue her work with the boys on and off the air.

SCA Content Director of National Shows, Sonder Novak-Booth can’t get enough of the lads.

“What a pleasure it is to work with such a brilliant show and see Jimmy and Nath go from strength to strength. Their hard work and passion are second to none and it’s wonderful to see audiences responding. We can’t wait to give listeners even more of the show they love,” said Novak-Booth.

Jimmy Smith and Nath Roye are best mates who started their radio careers in 2015 and have since taken out a number one breakfast spot as well as multiple ACRAs.

The hardworking duo spoke with Radio Today in March, detailing their rise and background. The pair share great insight into their world and love for radio – listen to the chat here.

Listen to The Jimmy & Nath Show across the Hit Network 9-11pm weeknights and 7-9am weekends or via the free LiSTNR app from Monday June 20.

What a team.

For an industry that seems to reward so many narcissists, its really nice to see genuinely good people getting a go.

Hobart is a notoriously competitive & difficult market to crack – especially if you’re not “from there”.

It’s hard work to win the audience over down there. Massive credit to Jim, Nath & Grace + SCA for giving the crew further opportunities for career growth.

How splendid to see hard work and integrity rewarded. Well done to the Jimmy and Nath team, and some props to SCA on the great decision.
