Hit Newcastle’s Simon Baggs has developed a reputation for putting his body on the line for the good of charity.

This Friday, Simon will walk 50 kilometres from Williamstown to Wallsend, attempting to raise $50K for charity.

Nick, Jess & Simon are trying to raise money for 11-year-old Emily Cheeson who was recently diagnosed with Clear Cell Meningioma – Stage II.

With her family physically, emotionally and financially drained, the Hit106.9 team are getting behind the cause, with Simon doing his 50km walk while Nick & Jess will stay on air all day to support him until he arrives at the finishing line.

The walk begins at 6am at Williamtown Maccas and will finish, and will finish at Wallsend Maccas where Simon will hand over a check to Emily’s family.

Local businesses are encouraged to donate $500 or more to sponsor a kilometre. an $22,000 has already been raised.
