Guyon Espiner departs RNZ’s Morning Report
Morning Report host Guyton Espiner is departing the show, to focus on a role as a reporter for RNZ.
The top-performing Breakfast host has worked on the show for the last five years.
His new job will see him reporting for all of the network’s programmes, making documentaries and occasionally filling in as a presenter.
“This certainly isn’t a back seat,” he said. “In fact, I’ll be working longer hours and probably doing more challenging stuff physically than I was at Morning Report.”
“Morning Report is one of the big jobs, so you don’t, at a whim, leave that.”
Guyton also said he is excited to not have to get up at “crap o’clock” every day.
