Gunn goes national in NZ

In more NZ radio news….Classic Hits announced today that the Christchurch breakfast show of Jason Gunn and Dave Fitzgerald (pictured) will move from their local weekday breakfast slot to broadcast in drive nationally.

The pair have been in breakfast for the past two years.

Classic Hits Network Content Director Jason Winstanley says,

“The audience trend is moving towards personality drive shows, listeners aren’t content with listening to just music, they want more content and more entertainment to unwind after a long day.

It was a no brainer to move Gunn and Fitzgerald into this slot. Gunn’s long record in television and radio speaks for itself. He has been entertaining Kiwis for 25 years and co-host Dave Fitzgerald is an accomplished broadcaster who has worked in several markets around the country.”

Gunn is excited to talk to the whole of New Zealand…

“We have so much fun with what we do, we’re really excited to have the opportunity to move to the national afternoon drive show while still broadcasting from Christchurch. We're bloody great mates who love rarking each other up are more than a little competitive – sure he beats me at golf but I look better in a dress!"

Jase & Dave start their new drive show from Monday July 23.
