Griffith Survey 1 2022

The Griffith Survey 1 for 2022 has been released today, showing Hit 99.7 taking hold of the area as 96.3 Triple M falls due to massive losses across the board.

Hit 99.7 Riverina had an increase of +2.7 for the 10+ category, finishing at 33.5, while 96.3 Triple M dropped -7.2 – distancing itself from the top spot with 16.2.

ABC Riverina also had a loss, showing a -2.6 drop in the 10+.

10+ Snapshot:

  • Hit 99.7 33.5 (+2.7)
  • 963 Triple M 16.2 (-7.2)
  • ABC Riverina 12.5 (-2.6)

Hit 99.7 controls the 10-54 age demographic, leaving Triple M with only the 55-64 bracket despite a -9.2 loss to end at 30.0. How long Triple M will still control this single demo is uncertain, as Hit increased +10.0 for the bracket (55-64) this survey.

As for time slots, Hit holds them all, with a notable +19.5 in the 7-12 am evening time slot.

ABC and Triple M showed losses in almost every time slot. Most notably, a -15.2 loss in the 9-12 pm morning slot by 96.3 Triple M that took them down from 31.9 last survey to 16.7 in this one.

One of the interesting takeouts from these results is the impact of dropping Ray Hadley from mornings on Triple M.

What a horrid choice for listeners in that town. Hit or Triple M (on AM!!). Most people would be streaming something else surely.
