Good Karma

At the weekend 2CA in Canberra held their annual 'Marathon for Marymead' (read here), and they have finalised the donations, which have come in at a little over $20,000. This is nearly triple what the event raised last year so is a fantastic effort.

Now Radiowest in WA have gotten in on the act with a 55-hour broadcast by Northam Breakfast Announcer Bryan French (pictured). Radiowest will spend the next few weeks taking pledges to raise money for the childrens charity 'Give Me 5 for Kids', with the broadcast commencing at 5am on 28 June and ending at 11am on 30 June.

French has a long-standing involvement with the childrens charity, presently doing a weight loss challenge that has raised $2100. The 55-hour broadcast will be the culmination of a month of activity by Radiowest to raise money for 'Give Me 5 for Kids', which in total the station is hoping will raise $25,000.
