GOLD FM’s AJ, Bridge & Spida begin their journey to take back #1

Adrian “AJ” Johnston joined GOLD 92.5 breakfast team Bridge Daley and Peter “Spida” Everitt on-air for the first time this morning.

Johnston left his usual mornings timeslot to join the AJ, Bridge and Spida for Breakfast and help the the team regain top spot in the session. 

After losing legendary presenter Richard Fowler last year, GOLD’s breakfast show has slipped behind Hot Tomato’s Flan & Emily Jade with Christo and Sea FM’s Get Up With Heather, Dan and Ben in the latest Gold Coast radio ratings.

“AJ and I have known each other for 18 years, so to have the opportunity to work with ‘The Great Man’ is an honour,” Bridge said. “He’ll definitely bring a unique, local and fresh injection to our show.”

An ex-program director and longtime announcer with GOLD, co-host Spida believes Johnston will bring a new expression to the show.

“I am looking forward to working alongside the voice of the Gold Coast – someone who lives and breathes the Gold Coast and has done so for decades,” Spida says. “It’s going to be a rollercoaster of fun.”
