Gold Coast Survey #1

The first survey of the 2016 has been released on the Gold Coast today with the results revealing a new leader.

SEA FM takes the top spot on the GC with 13.3 slice of the market. Stablemate Gold FM makes it the one, two combo with a 12.6. While Hot Tomato comes in third with an 11.8.

Overall Hot Tomato have had a rough day, shedding 2 points to lose the top spot to SEA FM. The fall for Hot Tomato was virtually all 25-39, the other demos for the station were solid – however the 25-39 fall has hurt the station overall. On a positive note, Hot Tomato is outright #1 in Breakfast.

SEA FM has surged ahead in 25-39’s for Survey #1, with clear space between it and the closest being triple j.

With Hot Tomato is #1 in Breakfast for the first time, the ground gained last time by Gold FM was lost with Gold taking the biggest breakfast hit. In Drive, there is also a new Number 1, with Hamish & Andy claiming the crown against local offerings on both Gold and Hot Tomato. SEA a 17.7, Hot Tomato a 14.7 and Bianca Dye on GOLD FM up 1.7 points to 12.4.

A strong result for Sea FM on the Gold Coast in particular, although as always the market remains tight.
