Girls Next Door: Steph & Holly Davey launch Australia’s next breakout podcast
Two of Australia’s most recognisable digital creators, sisters Steph and Holly Davey, are officially entering the podcast space with the launch of Girls Next Door, a weekly, audio and video podcast set to make its debut today (Wednesday, March 25th).
“We wanted to create something that feels like you’re literally at home with us, like a sleepover with your friends, just with microphones on” says Steph. “This podcast was designed to feel like an extension of the content and community we’ve already built, funny, chaotic, a little bit unfiltered, but still really grounded in real experiences people can relate to.”

Designed as a ‘day-to-night’ listening experience, Girls Next Door blends humour, unfiltered storytelling and audience-driven segments within a nostalgic, 2000s-inspired Australian home setting with an emphasis on a YouTube integrated visual medium.
The format moves from light, playful daytime conversation through to more candid, late-night discussions, a structure built for both long-form listening and high-performing short-form social content.
Holly says “The day-to-night format is exactly how we are in real life” on the show’s tone and structure. “We start off light and playful, and by the end of the episode it’s a lot more open and honest. That’s where the best conversations happen.”

The launch comes at a time of significant growth in Australia’s podcast sector, with listenership surging 37% over the past two years to reach nearly six million weekly listeners, according to the 2024 Australian Podcast Report.
More than half of Australians (52%) now consume podcasts monthly. Notably, podcast audiences skew strongly female.
With a combined social audience of over 500,000 followers and more than 96 million TikTok views in the past 12 months, the Davey sisters are well positioned to convert an already engaged audience into podcast listeners.

Produced by Brayden Cocks, founder of Rolln Media, the podcast has been developed as a multi-platform content engine, reflecting a broader shift to how creators and audiences engage with audio, with each episode generating a suite of social-first assets designed for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
“Podcasting in Australia has become one of the most powerful and authentic ways to reach audiences. What Steph and Holly have built is more than a podcast, it’s a content ecosystem designed for discovery, engagement and shareability across every platform” notes Cocks.
“The world we’ve created for Girls Next Door is truly unique, and the format creates real value for both listeners and sponsoring partners.”
Girls Next Door will host a major Melbourne-based launch event, bringing together more than 150 media, influencers, creators and high-profile athletes.
The event will feature interactive, podcast-themed activations designed to drive social amplification and audience participation.
The podcast will be distributed across Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube, supported by a coordinated social rollout designed to accelerate subscriber growth and chart performance in its first week.
