Get Ready: The Top New Talent to Watch in 2018 returns Friday

Staff Writer

It’s back! Later this week Radio Today is set to publish the sixth edition of the Top New Talent to Watch list. This year’s talent pool has produced some of the most promising and exciting personalities working in Australian radio.

Over the past two months, we’ve spoken to content directors, station bosses and talent consultants from all the major FM broadcast networks. In the process, we’ve listened to hours of live radio and podcast replays to unearth and spotlight the future stars of Breakfast and Drive.

In previous editions, Radio Today has featured an impressive list; Ben & Liam, Seb Costello, Tommy Little, Kristie Mercer, Amos Gill, Tanya Hennessy, Heidi Anderson and Will & Woody. All have moved on to primetime gigs in capital city markets.

Think you should be on the list? Send your bio, photo and two minutes of audio in MP3 format to [email protected] by close of business on Wednesday, February 28.

So who are the next generation of on-air superstars, you ask?

They come from street teams, regional markets, community radio, stand-up stages, football fields, newsrooms and capital cities. They’re determined, ambitious, talented and respected by co-workers and station management. Their sights are firmly set on breaking big, and their bosses think they’ve “got it”.

Find out who they are on Friday when Radio Today unveils its most popular annual list.
