Gary O’Callaghan on 2UE: like he never left

The legendary Gary O’Callaghan appeared on 2UE this morning as they celebrated their 90^th Birthday.  It was like he never left.

Gary and the famous Sammy Sparrow featured as they talked about their (his) many years on the station as Sydney’s Number One for the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Lots of callers reminisced about Gary’s nearly 50 years on the station.

“I think I might come back again”, said Gary towards the end.

Editor’s Note: It was very surreal listening to Gary and Sammy Sparrow this morning. As a kid we listened to 2UE and to this day… Sammy Sparrow is etched in my memory – hearing it again today, now there’s a flashback.
