After producing 100 episodes of the Game Changers: Radio, Craig Bruce and Jay Mueller have finally produced a book version of the popular podcast series.

The pair has been working on the book project for the past 18-months, admitting it took them a bit longer than anticipated with Bruce admitting he needed some convincing that the world ‘needed’ a book on radio.

For Mueller, the idea of a book was a natural progression from the podcast, which has had almost 400,000 downloads.

“We always said the podcast was our love letter to radio,” he told Radio Today. “This book is our mixtape.”

Much like the podcast, the book version is a collection of lessons from the best in the biz; broadcasters and programmers alike.

“We decided to write a book based on the common themes from the Game Changers: Radio podcast. We’re grateful to everyone, who shared their stories with us.”

They share their experiences from getting their first job, their greatest success and their notable failures.

It’s pretty much a how-to guide for anyone with an interest in broadcasting.

Game Changers: Radio: Insights and lessons from the world’s best radio broadcasters and programmers is available for purchase on Amazon Kindle and will soon be available on Apple.
