Fitzy & Wippa team up with Sia to give away $100K

Nova 96.9 Breakfast show Fitzy & Wippa is giving away $100,000 to families doing it tough due to last summer’s bushfires or the ongoing impact of the coronavirus.

It’s all thanks to superstar Aussie singer-songwriter Sia, who pledged the money when she caught up with Fitzy & Wippa back in August.

She told the guys about when she was sending anonymous presents from ‘Santa’ to an orphaned boy each year.

“You guys like to do gooding and I like do gooding, so why don’t we do something together… maybe I’ll give you guys 100 grand that you can give out to people?” she said.

“You can decide however you want to make it happen and choose the people who need it most but why don’t we do that? I’ve always loved talking to you guys, I always have a really good time talking to you guys and I think it would be really fun to collaborate.”

“It would be an honour for us to get involved and find the right causes and the right people that need the break..” Wippa replied.

Now the initiative has officially launched, with Fitzy & Wippa calling on listeners to nominate friends or family members for ‘Fitzy, Wippa & Sia Have Got Your Back’.

“If there’s someone in your life, family member, friend where you just don’t have any more answers,” Fitzy said this morning (Monday, September 7).

“We want to help these people out. You need to nominate, go to Novafm.com.au and if there’s someone out there who needs to good news and some help from Sia and Fitzy and Wippa nominate this person because we want to help you guys out with a share of that $100,000”

How about you support a few of the 70 people you just made redundant instead of blowing 100k trying to buy a survey?
