FilmInk Magazine launches the Flim+ podcast

Australia’s online movie magazine, FilmInk is launching Film+, a new weekly podcast featuring cinema and streaming reviews, weekly recommendations, interviews, and commentary on what’s happening in the world of movies.

Releasing a new episode every Friday, Film+ is hosted by journalist and former co-host of 2SER’s The Vulture’s Nest, Eden Caceda.

FilmInk founder Dov Kornits says; “FilmInk has always taken a chatty, irreverent and conversational approach to movies, so hosting our own podcast was a no-brainer. We want to offer a fresh and experienced voice into the world of podcasts, and that’s what we’re doing right now with Film+.”

Also on board is long time FilmInk contributor and journalist James Fletcher, who will bring his own noted passions for the darker corners of the film world to the podcast each week.

“There’s pretty much nothing that I enjoy more than talking about movies with other people who are equally excited and inspired by the medium,” says Eden Caceda.

“We have an incredible array of major players from the Australian film industry lined up for the podcast, as well as a wide-ranging selection of topics to discuss. FilmInk has always been a fresh and funny voice in the world of film, and we want to continue that tradition.

“This is a podcast for everyone who’s into film, whether they’re hardcore boffins, casual viewers, or in the industry themselves.”

Listeners can now tune into the first two episodes of the series on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Episode 1: An interview with Rob Bryant on the Sydney OpenAir Cinema plus Apple’s legal dramas in the Ukraine, Netflix 2022 slate plus more.

Episode 2: Features a fascinating chat with Donald McAlpine on cinematography and A Switch In Time, Oscar nominations, Cate Blanchett’s newest film production in Australia plus more.
