Festival of SYN launches

SYN Media have always been active, and they have now launched the 'Festival of SYN', a week long event offering a range of free radio, television and online media workshops for young people and those who work with young people.

The workshops will include;

  • Planning and producing a radio show
  • Creating TV and screen content
  • in-studio sessions with SYN broadcasters

Each course is usually priced between $00 and $2000, however during the festival is funded by the City of Melbourne. The Festival will include special tailored sessions for under 18's.

SYN General Manager Tahlia Azaria (pictured) said;

“SYN offers incredible opportunities for young Melbournians to make the media instead of simply absorbing it. Now teachers, youth workers and young people alike all have the chance to learn together.”

SYN Media has been a fertile environment for many people in the media including Hamish & Andy, Zan Rowe (JJJ) and Seb Costello (Channel 9/3AW).

The Festival of SYN will be held in the school holidays (8 – 14 April) at the SYN studios in Carlton, and for bookings visit SYN here.
