Family were ‘in the dark about the hoax call’

Staff Writer

It has emerged that Jacintha Saldanha had left an apparent suicide note for her husband and children.

Keith Vaz, the Labour MP who is the one speaking on the family's behalf said:

"What the family need are the full facts. There are unexplained circumstances. The hospital needs to be more proactive, a full inquiry is needed and the family need to be included in that."

He also said that Jacintha's husband and her children knew nothing about the prank call until after her death.

"They were in the dark about the hoax call. They hadn't watched the news or seen anything about it."
