Erin Phillips to scale back radio commitments

Reporter

Mix 102.3’s Erin Phillips has made the decision to scale back her radio commitments so she can focus on her professional football career.

Erin, who is the AFLW’s most decorated player, made the announcement on air during this morning’s Ali Clarke Breakfast Show Ali.  It follows on from her decision earlier this year to make the switch from the Crows to join Port Adelaide.

Erin says “It has been a challenge managing full-time radio, football, and a young family, with all the demands they require and deserve. With my recent move to Port Adelaide, I’ve been considering where I need to direct my energy and passion in my professional career, and I’ve decided to put my focus into football.”

“I’ve loved my time at Mix 102.3 and am so appreciative of the opportunities I have had, the people I work with and the fun we have on air (but not so much the early mornings). I am excited that I will still be a part of the Ali Clarke Breakfast Show and contributing to a weekly Friday spot with the breakfast team.”

ARN’s Chief Content Office Duncan Campbell says “Erin Phillips is a much-loved member of the Mix 102.3 Breakfast team.  We respect and support her decision to lighten her radio schedule so she can focus on her number one passion, football, and are pleased she will remain a part of the show.”

Lot of Mix Adelaide Breakfast Announcers scaling back commitments and wanting to spend more time with family/do other stuff past 18 months.

Who is in charge there? Just had a look they are tied with Cruise and SAFM, bottom of the breakfast ratings. What is actually going on there
