Erin Molan awarded $150,000 damages in defamation case

2Day FM presenter Erin Molan has been awarded $150,000 damages after winning defamation case against Daily Mail Australia.

Molan had claimed she had been wrongly portrayed as mocking Polynesian names in a radio broadcast on 2GB in 2020.

The former rugby league show co-host argued the broadcast had nothing to do with mocking someone’s name and ethnicity.

Rather, she told the Federal Court, it was poking fun at her colleagues.
