Victorian Premier talks pill testing with Jase & Lauren

This morning on Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren, the team chatted to Premier Jacinta Allan about pill testing in Victoria.

Lauren: There’s a concern that it’s illegal, and in essence, some people feel like that is encouraging people to go and take drugs.

Premier: Well, I want to be absolutely clear, there is no safe level of drug taking, and illicit drugs remain exactly that, just illegal. But the announcement yesterday around pill testing reflects reality. The reality is, if doesn’t just have to be a young person, a person of any age, rocks up to a music festival, and if they’ve got a pill in their hand, they’re intending to take it.
